Duties and Responsibilities: The SAP Basis Administrator is primarily responsible for System Administration & Security Administration activities across our SAP landscape. This includes maintaining and extending our SAP environments and supporting a variety of SAP projects and clients. The position will require working closely with the existing administration staff as well as collaboration with SAP Application teams, Server & Storage teams, and Database Administration.
- SAP System installation, upgrades, enhancements, patching, configuration, & troubleshooting
- SAP Hardware and software environment planning & new system investigation
- SAP Portal Monitoring, Root Cause Analysis & Performance Tuning
- SAP Security Administration including Role & ID analysis, management, and maintenance
- SAP SOX Controls management and Governance Risk Compliance & Segregation of Duties administration
- SAP Data archiving & reorganization
- Project Management
- Client Support
- Technical documentation
- 24×7 on-call rotation

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related discipline and two years of current SAP Basis Administration experience. Demonstrated technical expertise, strong investigative skills on complex problems, decision-making and reasoning abilities are required – the ability to research solutions and a strong desire to learn are a must. The ability to effectively work in a customer focused team environment with above average interpersonal skills is also required.
Ideal candidates will have strong technical experience in SAP system administration on both Unix and Windows platforms and ABAP and Java stacks and have relevant experience administering recent versions of ECC, SRM, BW, EP, eRecruiting, SolMgr, XI/PI, SLD, NWDI, ADS, TREX, etc# Skills in Oracle, SQL Server, Java, EMC Storage, Web, Security, and Unix scripting languages preferred.
